Back Matter

It is always a good day when you learn something new.  I recently shot a portrait for a soon to be published new author!  I learned that the information on the back of the book is referred to back matter.  This is going to be a new children's book featuring a dog who starts out as 'bad to the bone' and then....  Well, I don't want to ruin the  story (due to be published in October).  Here are a couple of shots from our session.  The dogs were very cute, but not too keen on having their picture taken!

So Precious!

Well, a busy spring has segued into a whirlwind and wonderful summer!  We had an amazing early vacation on the Outer Banks in North Carolina with picture perfect weather and a place right on the beach...  So relaxing.

I hit the ground running when we returned.  This is a 7 week old infant that was in the studio recently.  I was very excited to try out the new hammock I just finished knitting!  What a sweet baby, he slept almost the entire session - even with his 2 brothers and cousin around.

Senior Portrait Time!

Wow does time fly!  Congratulations to all my seniors graduating in the next few weeks!  I am already starting to book up for this year's round of portraits - so call soon!  I am very excited for this year's group.  Personally I will have a senior this fall and we did some preliminary shooting a few weeks ago....  I cannot believe this is my baby!

Spring is in the air!

And starting to emerge from the ground.  I love this time of year.  Ready for the cold and snow to be over, looking forward to seeing my garden come to life and open the windows to air out the house!  It was a busy winter, and I am looking forward to a busy spring!

Fitness Fun!

Fitness has been one of my passions for years - in the gym, on the trails and most especially on the courts!  So when my trainer, Krystal Say, asked me if I would be interested in taking some pictures of the various classes she offers to feature on her website, I was ecstatic.  Combining 2 of my passions, fitness and photography - it doesn't get much better than that!  We have had a lot of fun over the last couple of weeks and I have met some great people.  I have to say - the 5am crowd is dedicated...  It felt like the middle of the night when I got up! Let it snow!!

Yikes!  We have had a snowy start to 2011...  Over 60 inches of new snow in January alone.  Here's a few shots to give you an idea!

 

Hello 2011!

What a wild ride 2010 was!  So many awesome sessions, great people, fun settings. Thank you to all my clients last year, you were wonderful to work with and I wish you a fabulous 2011.  I'm not sure how 2011 can top it, but I am ready!  Looking forward to my first shoot of the year Thursday - so excited for the snow, should add an extra element of fun!
